Montana’s Favorite Autumn Clothing Is No Surprise
We asked our listeners to name their favorite piece of clothing for fall. There were a lot of answers and all of them were correct. We did sense a pattern with the responses and that was warmth and comfort were overwhelmingly in the majority. The great news is you don't have to get into shape to wear any of them and "swimsuit season" is over!
Fleece
A lot of people responded with some kind of "fleece" as an answer. Montanan's know to layer up in the fall as days start out chilly but then warm up in the afternoons. Fleece jackets or shirts are great for the quickly changing weather we see in the fall and you see them everywhere.
Comfy Clothes
"Comfy clothes" was up there in the responses. Fall is the time to cover up but also to be able to relax around the house. Sweats, PJs, and loungewear is something that a lot of people look forward too in the fall. The weather cools down and, once again, the layers start to come out.
Camouflage and "Hunter Orange"
Hunting season picks up in the fall in Montana and it is time to get out the camouflage and the "Hunter Orange". They both made the list. If you have lived in Montana for any length of time you will have either lived through, witnessed or have heard a good hunting story. Maybe even a a crazy hunting story from somewhere else. The fall hunting forecast has been released. Be safe and hopefully you will be filling that freezer.
The "Hoodie"!
By far the most popular answer we got was the ever popular "Hoodie"! It's one of the most versatile pieces of clothing ever. They are functional, they are fashionable and they are awesome. I call them my "Autumnal Uniform". Every member of my family has hoodies. Every member of my family (except the dog) has "borrowed" a hoodie from me at one time or another. I feel like I can never have too many hoodies. So as the weather changes to fall my "Autumnal Uniforms" have come out for the season.
