Montana Lottery Players Hit Millions in Powerball Wins
Montana Lottery players have been very lucky recently. When the Powerball jackpot reached almost two billion dollars, there was a flurry of activity and winning.
At about the same time, the Powerball jackpot was climbing to near-record highs, the lottery launched its new website, app, and players’ club. For members of the players’ club, there are multiple drawings a month for a chance to win prizes.
Montana’s $2 Million Powerball Winner
The big Montana Powerball winner came from a ticket purchased at Rosauers that won $2,000,000 by matching all five white balls, just missing out on the jackpot by missing the Powerball. They also had Power Play on the winning ticket.
I spoke with Celina Clift from the Montana Lottery about the winners. They didn’t know how much they had won. They attempted to redeem their ticket at Rosauers, and the clerk informed them that they won over $600, so they had to travel to the lottery headquarters for redemption.
The clerk didn’t tell them how much they won, and they didn’t check online. It wasn’t until they went to the Helena office that they were informed about the size of their win. The winners were speechless and in tears when they discovered just how much they won.
They weren’t the only big winners. A $200,000 winning ticket was purchased at Winner’s Corner in Missoula by a person from Sidney. There was also a $150,000 winning ticket that was sold at Maverick in Belgrade that hasn’t been claimed yet.
Montana Millionaire Game Returns
Mark your calendars, the Montana Millionaire game will go on sale this year on Saturday, November 1, at 5:30 a.m. There will be five$1 million jackpots this year. There will be 620,000 total tickets sold, each costing $20.
October will also see the release of new winter and holiday scratch tickets for the season.

Clift did say there were going to be some exciting new things arriving in January of 2026, but she couldn’t say anything more about it at this time.
