Does Montana’s Most Searched Beer Make it the Most Popular?
I don't think there is any argument that Montanans like their beer. Our many breweries consistently introduce new craft beers with each season. With fall on the horizon, there are pumpkin ales and Oktoberfest style beers available in stores. When it comes to beers that are searched for in Montana, a long-standing popular choice stand out more than others.
The beer that Montanans searched for more than any others in the past 5 years is Bud Light, according to Grand European Travel. One could argue that Bud Light has been in the news a lot over the past year and because Montanans have been searching about it doesn't necessarily mean that it is the "most popular beer" in the state. Bud Light was also the most searched beer in South Dakota. Wyoming searched most for Coors Light, while Idaho and North Dakota searched most for Keystone Light.
Grand European Travel took the top selling 45 import and domestic brands of beer and analyzed the search history of each state over the past 5. Montana's overall number one beer searched was Bud Light. When it comes to international beers, Corona was the most searched beer in Montana. Because the list looked at the biggest selling brews in the world, no Montana craft beers made this list. Maybe someday we can look forward to seeing a beer or two from Montana a list of this magnitude.
Montanans find all kinds of reasons to enjoy a frosty adult beverage. Football season has started for both College and the NFL. There are fall brew fests planned, including the Montana Brewers Association Fall Beer Rendezvous. There is still plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors before the weather starts to drive us all indoors.
Please remember if you are going to enjoy an adult beverage, enjoy responsibly and always designate a sober driver.
