
Northern Lights Alert: Stunning Aurora Borealis Could Be Visible Over Montana This Week
The Montana summer night skies may be lighting up over the next few days. If you can stay up late enough there is a strong chance you may see some great aurora borealis here in Montana.
According to the National Weather Service and NOAA, there are quite a few northern states that will have the chance to see the lights over the next few nights.

When I was a kid it was always extra special to see the Northern Lights. Growing up we didn't have the luxury of having a Northern Lights forecast so it was a surprise when they happened. We also didn't have social media and cameras everywhere, so it was very rare to see a picture of the lights.

In some parts of the world some hotels will wake you up when the Northern Lights are happening, like the Húsafell Hotel in Iceland.
Last weekend we had clouds, rain, and snow across a lot of the state. The next couple of days the weather may cooperate a bit more for us to see the aurora light show.
Here is the forecast for the Northern Lights for the next few days.

Recently parts of Montana have experienced some smoky conditions skies have been a bit hazy, but if the clouds hold off and if you can stay up late enough you may get a chance to see something magical.
