If everyone had to show some sort of ID to purchase the tickets, it would take a long time to sell them. This year the 500,000 tickets sold out in 2 hours, 46 minutes, and 31 seconds, which comes out to 3,086 tickets per minute.

According to the Montana Lottery the winning number for the $250,000 prize was sold at the Office Bar and Motel in Vaughn, Montana. The winning number drawn was 085666. There are still the million dollar jackpots to be drawn later this month. So, keep your tickets handy and ensure they are signed on the back in case the next winning number is yours.
