Montana's grocery stores have had this tasty treat on their shelves and now the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is making people of aware of a recent food recall from Hammond's Candies based out of Denver, Colorado. The product that is being recalled are the 4 oz. bag of their Dark Chocolate Filled Mini Waffle Cones. The recall is affected products have been distributed to various states including Montana. The products available at retail stores and online at Hammond's Candies and Amazon.com.

The recall has been called because the candies may contain "undeclared milk". This can be dangerous for people who have allergies or sensitivity to milk products. It can cause illness and in extreme cases it can cause a life threatening allergic reaction. The recall was issued as a precaution to protect consumers.

According to the FDA report, as of September 6th, there has been one reported allergic reaction in connection to the product. The product is in a resealable 4 oz. package with UPC 6 91355 90513 5. The item number for the products is FC23212. The recalled product codes are LN0525453 with 'Use By' dates: 03/20/2025 and LN0525453 Use By: 05/20/2025.
