Montana Grizzly Football Will Set an FCS Record in 2025

The Montana Grizzlies may not have gotten the perfect ending to their season, but there is a lot of positives that came from it. There were some great games played at Washington Grizzly Stadium, they made the playoffs again this year, including a 41-27 victory over the Tennessee State Tigers in the first round of the playoffs.

Since the end of the season, there's been a lot of news about Montana Grizzly Football. There have been reports of players who have entered the transfer portal, like Quarterback Logan Fife, and Linebacker Riley Wilson. Before it's all said and done there will likely be even more Grizzlies testing the waters in the transfer portal.

Expect a lot of changes coming up for the 2025 season, but before the Grizzlies even step back on the field for their very first game of the 2025 season, on September 6th versus Central Washington, it looks like the Griz are going to be setting a record for the most FCS home games in a regular season. The University of Montana Grizzlies are going to have 8 home games in 2025. Only 4 games in 2025 will be on the road.

September 13 vs. North Dakota

September 20 vs. Indiana State

September 27 vs. Idaho

October 11 vs. Cal Poly

October 28 vs. Sacred Heart

November 8 vs. Eastern Washington

November 22 vs. Montana State

The upcoming season will be a first in FCS history, according to Underdog Dynasty. No FCS team has ever hosted 8 regular season home games in a single season. There are sure to be some exciting games with the Grizzlies hosting Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana State at home. For the entire schedule you can check it out here.
