Missoula’s First-Ever Moonlight Market Set to Light Up Downtown
Missoula is about to experience something completely new. It’s going to happen as the sun goes down.
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the city will host its very first Moonlight Market, an Asian community night market set to light up Caras Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This marks the first event of its kind in Missoula. It brings together food, culture, and community in a way typically seen in larger cities.

I had a chance to speak with Ariel Sohn Brand, one of the people helping bring the market to life, and it is clear this event is about more than just a fun night out. It is a celebration of Missoula’s growing Asian community and a chance to share culture through food, music, and experiences for everyone.
Expect a packed evening. The market will feature 17 different food vendors, including a mix of food trucks and booth-style setups, offering a wide range of flavors and dishes. Alongside the food, there will be live music, entertainment, merchandise and activities happening throughout the night with over 40 total vendors.

The goal is to create an atmosphere that feels lively, welcoming, and unique. It will transform downtown into a vibrant night of fun and community.

So, if you are looking for something different to do, this is your chance to enjoy a night under the stars with incredible food and cultural experiences right in the heart of downtown. You can follow the Moonlight Market on Facebook and Instagram for updates and future events.
