Another Successful Missoula Marathon 2023 Pictures

The 2023 Missoula Marathon took over the city over this past weekend. It was exciting with events all weekend long. The weekend kicked off with a beer run on Friday evening. I was hanging out at Finn across the river watching the runners along the Kim Williams trail. Almost every store I went into downtown Missoula I saw someone wearing a marathon t-shirt over the weekend. Hotels were full, restaurants were booked.

Missoula Marathon 2023 Events

The "Kids Run" was scheduled for Saturday morning and it as a fun time for the kids to be a part of the fun, and were even given capes. The main events the half-marathon and the full-marathon kicked off at 6am on Sunday morning. In the past the marathon was started with a big boom firework. This year there seemed to be a good five minutes of fireworks that you could hear echo through the valley. The weather couldn't have been better, it was cool in the morning with some cloud cover, but it didn't get too hot for the runners.

To everyone that finished or attempted to finish the runs. My hat is off to you all. These runs take an enormous amount of dedication and determination. The amount of energy and volunteers that help put this event on is huge for our community. Everyone who helped direct traffic, hand out drinks, entertain the runners on their journey, cheer on the runners, you are all awesome. This event has only gotten bigger and bigger each year. This year it was a phenomenal success and it couldn't be done without the help and support of an amazing community.
