Missoula’s ZACC Offers Adult ‘Rock’ Camp
Summer camps for kids in Montana are starting to wind down for the season. The kids now have to shift gears and get ready for another school year. Now it's time for the adults to look forward to an exciting camp for those who dream of being a Rock Star.
The Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) in Missoula is offering a rock music camp for adults this coming October. They have offered rock music camps for kids for years, but now it is time for some adults to get behind the microphone, or drum kit and have some fun.
Missoula's ZACC "Retro Rockers" Camp
The "Retro Rockers: Rock Camp for Adults" is a 6-week camp that will start towards the end of October on Monday the 28th. The camp will take place on Mondays, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm, and run through the first Monday in December.
This camp will follow a similar format to the children's camp. A group of adults will get together, form band, write a song, practice the song, and then perform the song at the end of the camp.
With a limit of 15 people this camp will fill up quickly, so the earlier you sign up the better. If you can sing, or play the drums, guitar, bass, or keyboards, then this is your chance to be a part of something special, and to live out those dreams of being a rock star. If you choose not to attend the camp, that is cool, just make sure to support live and local musicians like the ZACC does.
