Groceries have been a big topic recently. The price of everyday foods, like eggs has increased a lot. I saw a price increase on a package of eighteen eggs a few weeks ago that I couldn't believe. It had to be a mistake. They were marked at $10.59. I went back to the store later that week and the price had decreased to $8.99. Still expensive.

Grocery shopping for me is something that I do when I run out of things or when we plan a meal. I don't plan out multiple meals for a week and then go shopping to stock up for the week. I should probably start doing that in order to save money in the long run. There are also products that I like to get that aren't available at my neighborhood grocery store. That means trips to multiple stores for what we like.

Montana doesn't have the biggest selection of grocery stores, but we are seeing some changes. Yoke's Fresh Market based out of Spokane, Washington has moved into Montana. Albertsons and Kroger announced they wanted to merge companies; a federal judge blocked that from happening last December.
