Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On March 9, 2026, shortly after 2:30 p.m., a Missoula Police Department Officer was driving on Ronan Street and observed a white Ford F350 cut across traffic in front of a silver passenger vehicle.

It was later discovered that the Ford F350 was being driven by 40-year-old Johnathan Devoe. When Devoe cut across the lane of oncoming traffic, he nearly caused a collision with the silver passenger vehicle because of how little distance was between the two vehicles.

After observing Devoe almost cause a collision, the officer immediately initiated his emergency lights and siren to conduct a traffic stop. Upon approaching Devoe’s truck, the officer immediately observed the smell of alcoholic beverages emanating from Devoe’s truck.

The officer observed that Devoe had glossy and slightly red eyes as well as slurred speech. The officer also observed that Devoe appeared disheveled with his belt unbuckled, his pants unbuttoned, and his glasses sideways.

The officer asked Devoe whether he had consumed any alcoholic beverages, and Devoe stated he had had a few. The officer asked Devoe to step out of the vehicle. As Devoe did so, the officer observed that he was swaying and losing his balance.

Devoe then refused to participate in the Standard Field Sobriety Tests and stated he just wanted to “blow.” The officer read the Preliminary Alcohol Screen Advisory, and Devoe blew a 0.15 BrAC. Devoe was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the Missoula County Detention Center.

Devoe completed a breath test using the Intoxilyzer, which measured his BrAC at 0.14. Devoe has three prior DUI convictions. The offenses occurred on October 21, 2016; February 27, 2024; and March 8, 2025.

Devoe’s driver's license is currently suspended for failure to comply with the conditions of two prior DUI sentences. On March 4, 2026, Devoe was sentenced pursuant to a petition to revoke the sentence of his DUI 3rd Offense before Judge Beal in the Missoula County Justice Court.

Devoe is currently being charged with felony DUI and negligent endangerment. His bond was set at $75,000.
