
Car Flees From Police, Crashes Into a Missoula Home
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On April 8, 2026, a car crashed into a popular Missoula neighborhood. Missoula Police Department Public Information Officer Whitney Bennett has the details.
"Just after 10:00 this morning, members of the FBI Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force were conducting an operation outside Missoula city limits," Bennett said. "During the operation, a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle associated with the investigation. The vehicle failed to stop, leading to a pursuit that entered the city of Missoula."
Officers with the Missoula Police Department, deputies with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, and task force members were involved.

"The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed in the area of England Boulevard and Lexington Avenue," Bennett said. "All occupants of the vehicle were detained at the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected narcotics distribution and firearm-related offenses."

The Missoula Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
"There is no threat to the public at this time," Bennett said. "This remains an active FBI MRVCTF investigation, and no additional information is being released."
