A bonfire, fireworks, and a ski competition? Sounds like the perfect winter day — especially when it’s all about celebrating local teams!

GRIZ-CAT WINTER PEP RALLY

It's Basketball Brawl of the Wild this Saturday, February 14, at the University of Montana, as the Lady Griz take on Montana State at 2:00, then the Griz men's team hosts the Cats at 7:00.

In between, don't miss the free Winter Pep Rally, 4:00-6:30 pm, on the UM Campus Riverbowl. Even if you don't plan on attending either or both basketball games, you can catch the Griz spirit with lots of activities and prize giveaways.

WHAT ALL IS HAPPENING

New this year, the Rail Jam ski and snowboard competition, showcasing amazing skiing and snowboarding right on campus. The Rail Jam will bring in rails and snow and allow athletes to throw down their best tricks.

The Winter Pep Rally will also feature a huge bonfire and fireworks show, music, and drinks, including hot cocoa from ASUM and Monster Energy drinks from Coca‑Cola. Prizes will be given away throughout the afternoon, including free passes to Lookout Pass!

There's also an adult beverage cash bar to enjoy the show while spending your Valentine’s Day on campus with a full day of exciting action. Griz and Lady Griz basketball game tickets will be available at the Adams Center doors, but it's not a bad idea to get them in advance here.

The students at UM Marketing wanted us to pass along their special thanks to their sponsors: UM Freeride Club, Lookout Ski Resort, Monster Energy / Coke, Disco Carrot Athletics, ASUM, ON3P Ski Company and LINE Skis.

Enjoy and UP WITH MONTANA!
