TMHT: A Precious ‘Nugget’ From Humane Society of Western Montana
This undoubtedly had to be a record for youngest and smallest! And definitely a contender for cutest, too.
It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by Missoula's Paul's Pancake Parlor. Katie brought in Nugget, the tiniest of adorable kittens. Given he's only 5 weeks old, tiny is a given. But as alert and calm as he was, this little guy is going to make a fine addition to someone's home.
FOSTER CARE VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS WELCOME
Now, Nugget is not ready for adoption just yet. He's been living in a foster home, and when he gets to be about 8 weeks old, he will come back to the shelter for his neuter surgery and be available to the public.
The shelter is always grateful to those who volunteer their homes for foster care to animals not quite ready for adoption. They take on bottle babies, litters of kittens, puppies, adult dogs to help them with social adjustment and other assistance. If you think you might like to be a volunteer foster home, please call the Humane Society of Western Montana and let them know.
FREE VACCINE CLINIC FRIDAY
This Friday, June 20, from 3:00 till 6:00 pm, the Humane Society of Western Montana will be hosting another free walk-in vaccine clinic for both dogs and cats. It's open to the public and no appointments are needed. They will offer free annual vaccines, rabies vaccines and microchips. This is a really important time to microchip just ahead of the 4th of July, as it tends to be a time of year when, unfortunately, more pets get away from their owners.
The Humane Society is located at 5930 Highway 93 South, Missoula. Find out more about fostering, other pets available at the shelter waiting for forever homes, and more here.
