Missoula’s Holidays on Higgins: Full Day of Christmas Events Saturday
Here's your Missoula weekend events guide for the first weekend in December.
KYSSMas For Kids
Help out local kids & families tomorrow, Friday, December 5, by donating to KYSSMas For Kids. It's something we put on at 94.9 KYSS FM every year. We raised $130,000 last year which benefited families in the area ahead of the holidays. You can donate or bid on several great auction items below.
Holidays on Higgins
It's an all-day schedule of Christmas events at Holidays on Higgins this Saturday, December 6, at 10 am. Here's the full schedule of events:
- 11am - 3pm: Photo op with Santa at the Missoula Public Library
- 12pm - 3pm: FREE horse-drawn carriage rides (located on E. Pine)
- 4pm - 7pm: Stationary parade and makers market (N. Higgins)
- 6pm: Lighting of the Downtown holiday tree
FCS Playoff Game: Montana vs. South Dakota State
What a showdown we have on our hands inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium this Saturday afternoon, eh? The #3 Montana Grizzlies welcome in the #14 South Dakota State Jackrabbits at high noon on Saturday, December 6. It is, in my mind, the matchup of the weekend.
Get your tickets now to cheer on the Grizzlies.
The Montana Lady Griz play the St. Thomas Tommies at 7 pm inside Dalberg Arena on Saturday night, too.
GameStop's "Trade Anything" Day
This Saturday is GameStop's "Trade Anything" Day. You can trade in more than just video games or consoles. The full details are below.

On Sunday, December 7, from 1 to 4 pm, Missoula Animal Services is hosting an open house and adoption event "to celebrate their newly remodeled building at 6700 Butler Creek Road." There's a larger visitors' room, new kennels, outdoor access, and more space for the pets to run around.
Looking for your new best friend? Visit the open house this Sunday.
