Montana Knifemakers Show & Sale This Weekend in Missoula
Perhaps you've seen them on the TV show "Forged in Fire." Now, come meet them and admire their craftsmanship.
The Montana Knifemakers Association 29th annual Custom Knife Show and Sale is today and tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, at the Missoula Fairgrounds Home and Arts Building. There is no admission charge to attend.
The Montana Knifemakers Association was started in 1994. They are a non-profit educational organization, promoting the art of knifemaking through seminars, shows, educational events and other ventures. That also includes members who have taken the time to teach high school seniors working on senior projects. And they are always looking for new members.
Come meet the knifemakers and see their amazing craftsmanship. These are custom knifemakers dedicated to "perfecting their craft and providing their customers with quality products." This should give you an idea of the high quality workmanship you will see at their show and sale. YES, items are available for sale from nearly 25 vendors this weekend.
In addition to custom-made knives of all types for food preparation, hunting, fishing and more, crafted by local and national makers, knifemaking materials and supplies will be available as well.
There will be sellers from all over the Pacific Northwest. Handmade knives only - no manufactured knives. Whether or not you are in the market for new custom knives, you're sure to be impressed with the craftsmanship that you will see. It sounds like these folks are truly dedicated to the art.
Show and sale hours are from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. today (Friday) and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. And representatives will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about membership in the Montana Knifemakers Association, and other events they regularly put on.
