Washington-Grizzly Stadium Was LOUD on Saturday. How Loud Did It Get?
Saturday night was insanely electric inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium for Montana's showdown against the Idaho Vandals. It was a thrilling night for Griz fans, as Montana retained the Little Brown Stein, defeating Idaho 41-30. It wasn't that close either.
The team showed up, but so did Griz Nation. Saturday night's crowd showed up was knocking on the door of an attendance record.
Over 27,000 maniacs showed up for the primetime battle of the Stein. And you guys WERE LOUD AS HELL.
I was on the field sideline reporting for the Grizzly Radio Network and emceeing the on-field activities. It was so unbelievably, ear-piercingly deafening inside the Mecca of FCS Football that I had a ringing sound in my head walking out of that stadium at 1:15 am (thanks, ESPN)
This is my 3rd year on the field for Griz games, and I can say Saturday vs the Vandals was the loudest I heard Washington-Grizzly Stadium since North Dakota State in the semifinals. Frankly, it might have been louder than the Bison playoff game. The decibels were off the charts in the North End Zone.

According to the Grizzly Fans Facebook page, decibel levels reached 118. We had a decibel meter on the sidelines, and the highest I saw was about 110. Maybe it gets louder on top of the stadium, or maybe iPhone decibel readings are a little off compared to a legit handheld meter. Either way, you guys were insanely loud.

By the way, the Grizzlies are the real deal. That was a fantastic win where we saw all 3 phases of the game step up in big moments. I'm all in on this year's Griz.
