We are gearing up for another big travel season across the country. Soon people will be booking flights all over the globe to visit family for the holidays or escape the winter snow. It is time to start planning your next trip.

We have all experienced it before. The anxiety you feel when you forget to pack something important. Or the anxiety you feel when you forget to turn off the coffee machine. Or how about that feeling that you forgot your passport? You know? The feeling Kevin's Mom had in "Home Alone."

Let's face it, traveling can be hard. Especially here in Montana. The airfare is so expensive. Not to mention, your friends and family probably expect you to bring gifts of huckleberry treats and jerky.

You might be surprised at the things that you can and cannot bring on a plane. I learned from experience that you can board a flight in San Diego with a bag of freshly caught fish, but you are not allowed to bring a jar of sand from the beach. (The fish didn't survive the flight back to Montana btw...YUCK!)

We figure we would save you the heartache of having to worry about what you can and cannot pack for a trip out of Montana. The TSA guidelines are posted on their website. Breaking down all the do's and don'ts of packing for a flight.
