Samuel L. Jackson and Brosnan Team Up in Montana Film
You know it’s going to be a good movie when it stars Samuel L. Jackson and Pierce Brosnan. Even better when it’s filmed in Montana. A new Western called Unholy Trinity hits theaters June 13th, and yeah, they shot it all across Big Sky Country.
The story? Set in the 1870s, it follows a young guy named Henry Broadway, out for revenge after his dad gets hanged for something he didn’t do. He rolls into the town of Trinity and crosses paths with Sheriff Gabriel Dove (that’s Brosnan) and a mysterious drifter named St. Christopher (that’s Jackson). Guns, secrets, grit. It checks every Western box.
Most of the filming happened at Yellowstone Film Ranch in Paradise Valley. And if you’ve cruised through Livingston lately, some of the backdrops might feel real familiar. But the one we’re most pumped about? A David Arquette cameo was filmed inside the old Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge. Ghosts of inmates past and a scream king under one roof. What’s not to love?
The trailer gives serious boots-in-the-mud, grit-on-your-teeth vibes. Dusty streets, long stares, loaded pistols. The whole deal.
The best part? Unholy Trinity isn’t even a limited release. It’s going wide the moment it premieres on June 13. That’s right. No need to track down an indie theater to see it. You’ll probably catch this one at your usual spot with popcorn in one hand and a Coke in the other. Mark it down.
So yeah, another big Hollywood production, another starring role for Montana. And this time, we get Samuel L. Jackson on horseback in our hills. That alone is worth the price of admission.
