Missoula Casting Call Seeks Comedians, Musicians and Bands
If you are ready for your "big break" in Missoula show business, then this probably will not be a call from Hollywood.
But we all have to begin somewhere. The people who organized the upcoming live sketch comedy show titled That's So Sketch (October 17th) have issued a casting call for local comedians and/or bands that would like to participate in the event. They are specifically seeking musicians and bands. But they are also looking for comedians to perform throughout the course of the evening.
If you have been consistently using the same five minutes' worth of material each time you hang out with your friends and family members and want to test out your skills by performing for complete strangers, now is your chance.
Important note about participating in the performance: these will be volunteer performance opportunities. Do not quit your day job because you have signed up to participate in That's So Sketch.
Individuals and Groups Seeking to Participate Through Music:
In addition to looking for comedians, That's So Sketch organizers are also interested in showcasing some of Missoula's musical talents prior to the show (intermission), and possibly after the main show. They are interested in hearing from both individual musicians as well as groups (bands). Based on their description, they appear very open-minded regarding potential music submissions, which may present an exciting opportunity for a Missoula-based group/band looking to get an opportunity for themselves to play in front of a new audience.
Businesses/Organizations Interested in Supporting Locally Produced Entertainment:
Additionally, That's So Sketch is interested in hearing from local businesses/organizations that wish to sponsor the production and support local artists/entertainers through producing original content. I always like seeing stuff like this happening in Missoula. We have plenty of talented musicians, comedians, actors and other creative people around town.
