Would This Unique Twist on a Haunted Classic Work in Missoula?
There are so many fun things to do in the fall in Montana. The list is long, from hitting a pumpkin patch, picking apples, enjoying a fall festival or a brew fest. There have been a few events that we miss here in Western Montana. We haven't had a community haunted house in Missoula for the past few years. Maybe it is time that we borrow an idea from a different part of the country and see if it will take off here in Missoula.
With the legalization and popularity of recreational cannabis in Western Montana, maybe it is time we figure out a way to incorporate it with a haunted maze like they are doing in Minnesota. Thanks to our sister station B105 Country in Duluth, Minnesota, they are reporting about "America's Only Haunted Cannabis Maze", which will be opening in October.
This made me think that maybe we should do something like that here in Western Montana. Montanans both enjoy haunted houses and mazes and have shown an appreciation for recreational cannabis, so maybe someone can combine the two and create some extra fun around Halloween. Just imagine how popular a place like this would be.
The Associated Press is reporting about farmers in the Midwest planting a new strain of "short corn", that doesn't grow as tall as traditional corn. The short corn can withstand higher winds because of it's "sturdier base". If more farms start switching to short corn, there may be less opportunities for a corn mazes, because the corn won't be tall enough. So maybe "Haunted Cannabis Mazes" are the future. We won't know until someone gives it a try.
