Google is the most popular search engine in the world. There are over 1 billion people who use it every day, according to Statista.com, and according to SEO.AI, there are over 8.5 billion searches per day.

While most of us these days search for anything we're curious about, there are some things you should think twice about searching on Google. Most of it relates to online safety, but not all of it.
Remember, when you use Google, they track what you are looking for and where you are looking for it.

Some of the things you shouldn't search for online are common sense. It's not a good idea to search for things that are illegal. There are other things you may not realize aren't a good idea to search for, like medical symptoms.
According to Cheapism.com, searching for medical symptoms isn't the best idea. There is a term called 'cyberchondria.' It's when you become more concerned about your symptoms after reading about them online, which can happen.
Google recommends that you don't search for highly personal information. They also give you instructions on how to remove your personal information from their platform.

Be aware that what you search for can also expose you to future advertising for those products. I’ve searched for products in the past, like gifts, and years later, I’m still getting ads for things I have zero interest in.
Searching for stock tips online isn't recommended either. When it comes to investing your money trusted sources may be a better option than what you may find on Google.
With so many online scams out there it helps to be vigilant when it comes to online security. Be safe out there.
