SPREAD THE WORD: Z100 Is Giving a Local Choir a Chance to Perform With Foreigner
The band Foreigner has announced they're performing in Missoula at the Adam's Center on Tuesday, October 15th. The band reached out to Z100 Missoula's Only Classic Rock about teaming up for a contest that will see a local high school or middle school choir perform with the band at the Missoula show.
Foreigner's tour is being called a "Historic Farewell Tour" that kicked off in 2023. This may be the last chance Missoula has to see the band perform live. 2024 is a big year for Foreigner, the band is finally getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
For the past 17 years Foreigner has invited local kids choirs to perform with the band on their massive 1984 hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is". They are giving one Missoula middle school or high school choir that same chance. Not only will they be giving a choir the chance to perform with the band, the choir will also receive $500 from the band for their program.
Spread the Word: Missoula High School or Middle School Choirs
We are getting close to the start of the school year, so this is the time when we want to get the word out to our local middle and high schools to start practicing a Foreigner song for your chance to perform with the band.
The contest will be open to all Missoula high school and middle school choirs, and require a link to a performance (YouTube or Instagram links preferably). The choir will need to not exceed 25 students, and there will be room for 2 adult chaperones to accompany the choir the night of the show.
We will be kicking off the contest when school officially begins. So let your kids, teachers, or schools know they will get a chance to perform with a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band and possibly win $500 for their program. Good luck from Foreigner and Z100 Missoula's Only Classic Rock.
