Montana vs. Aliens: Would Big Sky Country Stand a Chance?

Montana is known for a lot of things. We are a vast state that is made up of different topography. We offer up a little bit of everything.

If we ever faced a zombie apocalypse, Montana is one of the best places to be. Our state has a lot of rugged terrain and weaponry. We also have a lot of places to flee and hide, if needed.

As you can see, there is a lot about zombies in Montana. But how would we fare in an alien invasion? We are talking about extraterrestrial beings from outer space.

Apparently we wouldn't fare too well. Al.com published a story using information from GigaCalculator.com, a website that features hundreds of online calculators and converters. They crunched the numbers and came up with the best states to be in to survive and alien invasion.

According to their numbers. the best state to be in for an alien invasion is Virginia, followed by Alabama. They took into account population, UFO data, landscapes, military, science, engineering, and medial professionals, number of healthcare professionals, and the number of food and beverage manufacturing companies.

Montana ranks thirty-ninth among the best states when it comes to surviving an invasion. Some of our neighbors also rank low. Wyoming is ranked fortieth and Idaho is ranked forty-ninth.

The worst state to be in for an alien invasion would be Nevada. Some say that makes sense because an invasion would probably start there with Area 51.
