What’s Going Into the Old Blackjack Pizza Building in Missoula?
Businesses are changing in Missoula at a rapid pace. There have been quite a few stories about businesses moving, closing, and changing. A recent store that has announced its closing is the Eddie Bauer location in Missoula's Southgate Mall. There haven't been reports yet on what is going to be replacing that location.

Missoula's Blackjack Pizza closed its doors back in 2021. It was sad news for a lot of people who used to enjoy their pizzas and I was when of them. I used to walk down and pick up a medium pepperoni pizza when the radio station was located just down the street off of Russell. Blackjack Pizza was also the site of an armed robbery, a month before they announced they were closing their doors.
Will This Be the Next Business in the Location?
The building stood vacant for quite a while. During the past year, there has been activity and remodeling of the building and it looks very different from when it was a pizza restaurant, but the business isn't open yet.
According to the paperwork filed with the City of Missoula for permits for remodeling, it was filed by Elevated Missoula, which is a marijuana dispensary. I reached out to Elevated Dispensary Missoula to verify the information. I also wanted to find out if they have a target date for opening that location and if this is going to be a new location or if they are moving locations. At this time I have not received a response.
