Not everybody is a professional driver here in Montana. Depending on the time of year, some people may argue that we don't even have very many amateur drivers around. A Montana winter can challenge some of the best drivers.

This winter seems to be one of those times when some drivers are being put to the test. We have seen a lot of snow this winter and it looks like it isn't done yet. A few months ago Montana's forecast called for colder than average temperatures and above average precipitation. It looks like that forecast is holding true.

I am by no means a perfect driver. I am sure there are things that I do that annoy other drivers. In my defense I will say that I try to obey traffic laws and I try to be safe when driving. There was an incident that happened last year where I almost got punched while turning onto Reserve Street. I wasn't at fault. You can read about it below.

Having to go to work early in the morning has its advantages. Even though I rarely go to work in the daylight I don't have to deal with traffic. Mostly I have to watch out for wildlife on my way to work.

A while ago we asked about what pet peeves Montanans have while on the highways. There were a lot of them. We were curious if you have the same pet peeves in the winter that you have the rest of the year, so we asked. Yes, some of them overlap, but there are some differences.
