There was a time when I wanted to run away and become a performer with the circus. Of course, living in Montana, there weren't a ton of opportunities for me to make that happen.

It didn't stop me from learning how to juggle and do a few card tricks and some sleight of hand magic over the years. The thought of joining the circus is long gone, but that doesn't mean there isn't a new generation that would consider life as a performer under the big top.

I also still appreciate watching performers in the circus. The amount of time they put in to perfect their art is truly incredible.

Why This Isn’t Your Average Circus

This week there is a different kind of circus coming to town. The Circus of Horror is coming to Missoula this Friday, August 1st. Instead of being under the "big top" their performances will be at the Dennison Theatre on the University of Montana Campus.

According to their website this isn't for the faint of heart: Dare to Experience the Most Terrifying Show of All Time.

When and Where to See the Show

There will be two shows this Friday night: one at 6 p.m. and another at 8:30 p.m.

Even though the Circus of Horror Facebook event page doesn't specifically mention age restrictions; just be aware when a performance says that it is the "most terrifying show of all time!", younger kids may not find it entertaining.

Here is the website for ticket information for Missoula's shows. Have fun and be prepared to be scared.
