Even though they are kind of niche, there are a lot of 'Ranch Restaurants' in the West. When you are looking for a good steak or just a quality meal they can be an enjoyable dining experience.
Montana has some of the best in the country when it comes to Ranch Restaurants. Montana is home to a lot of working ranches. Some of them have turned into tourist attractions with some amazing places to stay and eat.
According to LoveFood.com they have compiled a list of the 33 best Ranch Restaurants in the country, Montana is well represented on this list with eight places making the list.

One ranch holds two places on the list. The Paws Up Resort has two restaurants that both made the list. The Trough at Paws Up comes in at number thirty for their breakfasts, and Pomp also made the list coming in at number twenty-five on the list.
Big Sky, Montana, is represented with Horn and Cantle located at the Lone Mountain Ranch, coming in at eighteen.
McGill's at 320 Guest Ranch in Gallatin Gateway is on the list. They are open seasonally so they won't be opening for the 2025 season until June 5th.
The Mountain Sky Guest Ranch in Emigrant is another top-notch eatery coming in at fourteen on the list. The ranch is also a dude ranch for those that want a cowboy experience.
Coming in at number thirteen on the list is The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg.

Number twelve on the list is the Triple Creek Ranch in Darby.
The highest rated Ranch Restaurant in Montana is Hubbard's Six Quarter Circle Ranch in Emigrant.
The word that gets used a lot in the descriptions of these ranches is "luxury". A number of them also offer "all-inclusive" packages, so if you ever get the chance to stay at some of them, you will be able to eat at some of the restaurants as part of the package.
