That pride really shows up every year on April 6, better known as 406 Day. It’s an unofficial holiday that celebrates everything that makes Montana special. It’s named after the state’s one and only area code. At least for now. 

The Future of Area Codes in Montana

With Montana continuing to grow, there’s been talk that a second area code could be on the way someday as available numbers start to run out. But until that happens, 406 Day remains a perfect excuse to celebrate the place we call home.
