Explore Montana’s National Parks for Free: 2025 Fee-Free Days Announced
If you are planning your vacations for 2025 and are looking to save some money, the National Park Service has posted their schedule of dates where entry fees are waived. Not all dates this year will coincide with National Holidays.
Of course with some of the parks, it will depend on whether the parks are open for the season.
Like most years, some of the dates will align with National Holidays. There has already been a day with free entry to the parks and that was for the national day of remembrance for the passing of former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday, January 9.
This coming Monday, January 20, will be another free entrance day for the National Parks. It will coincide with the National Holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
For the rest of 2025 here are the dates that the fees will be waived for entering our National Parks.
- April 19: First day of National Park Week
- June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
- August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- September 27: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
Not all of the dates this year end up being on weekends, so be aware of that when you are making your plans.
These fee-free days are a fantastic opportunity to explore nature and the awesomeness of our National Parks. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or a midweek adventure, take advantage of these dates to experience the parks without worrying about entry costs. Start planning your trips now to make the most of 2025’s fee-free days.
